Love the map, even though it was quite expensive. Unfortunately it took a long time to finally be shipped from Slovenia so it missed being a Christmas present :( Some of the smaller countries are very delicate and can snap when putting a pin in, be careful! Also, the black background can smudge with fingerprint and then didn't clean well - not sure if it was already there or not... That being said, it's a great piece and wonderful gift which looks so much better than the scratch off map we had previously.
Happy with purchase!
I have been wanting to get one of these travel maps for a long time so when I finally purchased it I was super excited for the item to arrive. The map was very well packaged and arrived with no damages. I was super happy with how the map looks. My only downside was that the black frame has no lacquer and it looks as if it hasn’t been dusted for a while. The size, colour and materials all look amaIng and I am super happy with how it looks in my living room.
My biggest disappointment was however the flag pins and the pre-prepared holes for them. There is not enough space for all the countries to have their pins placed for Europe especially the areas of hungary, croatia etc… In addition, there are pins for countries like the Vatican and Qatar, but no holes where to pin them. Furthermore, there are pins for Ireland, Malta, Sardinia and more but those are printed countries so I am not sure where to place the pins or what was the point of having pins for them in the first place. Lastly the placing of some holes could have been better to make more space. For example, the pin for Italy was towards the north where it is already full with other countries. It could have been easily been placed further to the south of Italy where no other country pin needs to be placed.
lovely quality item, fast delivery to Australia. I am going to mount it on a board and it's going to look great in my son's bedroom :-) We mounted it on a board that we painted blue to give us versatility if we wanted to move it in the future.
Absolutely stunning! Bought this map for my father's birthday. Since he likes to travel, I thought this would be the perfect gift. When it arrived, I was blown away by the craftsmanship of this world map. The detail and scale of the map is jaw-dropping. Instructions were clear and it was easy to assemble. Shipping was also perfect the item came in the night before his birthday, so was able to put it together and surprise him. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone. It is a spectacular piece of art!
The map seemed not as durable and loose when it came to me. The staples were all that was holding the board on the frame and most were not even all the way in. I had to hammer them in more to make it more sturdy. For the price I paid I was not very impressed. The wooden part of map is nice and the flag buttons as well. But for $400 dollars the framed board part needs to be better.
Although Jamaica came unstuck, but I pushed it back on and it seems to be good, it looks absolutely beautiful <3 My husband loves it and has put all the pins on of the countries we've visited. I'm glad we chose to get it already on a background as it seems like it might take quite a bit of time to put together on your wall yourself, plus the blue is gorgeous.
Added bonus that we're supporting a business in Ukraine <3
This is a piece of art!! To say I was sceptical is an understatement and so so happy when my 19 year old daughter opened it on Christmas Day. Something she will have forever, adding her adventures year by year. Well worth the money.
Honestly, I like everything about this company, it comes nicely packaged it's a really good one of a kind piece that looks great in your home and I like to travel so it's perfect.
They have great customer service, quick easy they reply right away and solve any issues.
